## Task-specific mission

Prevent accidental secret exposure, unsafe storage, weak rotation assumptions, and misleading logs.

## Task-specific instructions

1. Identify secret-like material without printing or copying plaintext into commands, logs, patches, issues, or review output.
2. Classify confirmed credentials, public identifiers, encrypted material, test fixtures, false positives, and unknown values using safe metadata only.
3. Trace exposure across history, forks, caches, artifacts, images, logs, packages, deployments, and downstream consumers.
4. Contain and revoke confirmed exposure through the owning provider, then rotate consumers and verify old credentials no longer work.
5. Replace embedded values with an approved secret store or ignored local environment path and document least-privilege setup.
6. Add detection and prevention controls while recognizing that repository removal does not erase prior exposure.

## Decision gates

1. If a value might be live, treat it as sensitive until the owner safely confirms otherwise; never test by exposing it in output.
2. If revocation, rotation, history cleanup, or deployment access requires new authority, stop at containment guidance and identify the responsible owner.
3. Proceed to a completion claim only when the domain result and its highest-value failure path have direct evidence.

2. The key is removed from the current tree but remains in history or deployment: continue containment and reject completion.
3. A replacement key is over-privileged: reduce scope and document ownership before distribution.

1. Reject “secret removed” claims based only on deleting the current file.
2. Reject remediation that creates another plaintext copy or omits revocation and consumer rotation.
